I would go into a LONG list of things that I'm thankful for, but I am just going to sum it ALL up and say that... I am simply thankful for being right here, right now and everything in my life! God is good and Life is a blessing!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Truth

Broken But Not Damaged...

Like the magnificent butterfly that continues to fly, despite its broken wing...

I carry on with my own personal journey...strong in faith and determination...

Broken...perhaps...but NOT damaged...

Broken pieces can be put back together...and be stronger...

Piece by piece and step by step...God heals.

So Thankful!

Thankful...WOW, what a way to begin the month of November! With so many things going in different directions in my personal life, I am so glad to see that other things are right where they need to be!

Busy, busy is how I 've been, in the middle of a super "Fall Cleaning" project, that I can't hardly wait to complete.

Ms.K and I have been working on reading skills...and...she rocks!

The other day, I created a couple of cards and it felt good to be back in my studio... Mojo is definitely back!

Pumpkins!

Like every year, we made the traditional trip to the near by church to pick some pumpkins. It is always SO much fun to see Ms.K run around trying to find the perfect pumpking, this year...5 little mini pumpkins, her choice, she said: "I don't want to cut them open, just want to draw little faces on them". She left happy and proud with her choice.

Happy Fall!

October

On 10/21 I celebrated my second 18th brithday. it started on Facebook and my page getting flooded with birthday wishes from friends and family. Then my little one sang the birthday song, which made my entire day!!! The day continued with me having to go to school to do some homework, which after hours of work ended in a grade of 95/100! The rest of the day was nice and relaxing, I received calls from very special people, including my mom. I'm SO thankful for making it another year and know that with the grace of the Lord the coming one is to be an awesome one!

Hopeful

When you least expect it...a new door opens, with a rainbow...I see it right at the end of the hallway... just hope to reach it in time before it closes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, walking as fast as I can, praying that it will still be open when I get there.

Almost to the top...

Well, as you already know from previous posts, lots has taken place. It's been quite the walk up the hill...but it's been worth every step!

Slowly but surely things are falling into place for me and that in itself is simply amazing!
One thing that has not changed is the love I feel from the Lord and oh, the special blessings that he's brought into my life for which I'm so very thankful.

Falling behind in school has not been any fun because it has surely had some side effects, which have prevented me from spending time in other areas of my life that very much deserve attention. Luckly, this is temporary and soon all my schoolwork will be caught up and life will have a more "normal" feeling.

Life is good, God is awesome and I'm ready!

Hey!

Here I am, thinking about everything that finally took place this summer and past year for that matter.

It was a great summer, with some great events and other not so much worth mentioning. Kelly and I spent time with the Mom's Playdate group and met some fantastic families, the Summer's Cool playdates with our church were also great and fun, I grew closer to my church friends and found true joy in the Lord and his unconditional love.

On the other hand, I went back to school...hehehe...I'm a college girl now. Hmmm, I'm in my mid thirties...I wonder if I could still behave like a young college girl....party and all that good stuff....NAHHH! I didn't then, so I'm not going to start now. Besides, I have an example to set for my little 5 year old who is just thrilled to know that Mommy, just like her, is going to school!

Little Ms.K starts Kindergarten next week, and she couldn't be more excited! She is SO READY, she can hardly wait. We met her teacher at the end of this past school year when we went to vist her new school and we just didn't know that she would end up in that class...which just made it even more fun for her.

Big, big and good changes have taken place, like I said earlier. I'm thankful for all the support that I've received from family, friends and my church family. God bless you all and know that I will forever be thankful for your kindness.

With that said, I'm currently 100% dedicated to getting used to my new schedule, manking some changes and adjustments...time management is a major priority. Lets see... Housework, 2 schools, tons of homework, single-parenting...it will all fall into place, I pray...or the day will just have to have a few extra hours added. "...and the crowd goes wild!" Ok, let me hear you say "Yay!"....Anybody?

I miss being in my scrapbroom, whipping up some cards and pages for my books...perhaps...in a few weeks when all the madness settles into a routine. I'll come back and share.

Until then, be good, be crafty and smile!

Oldies from 12x12 to 8.5x11-2

Here's a couple more of those pages that started as 12x12 and are now 8.5x11. I'm really enjoying the change and the process of making them into smaller pages.
Enjoy.~Ana

PS: These were not recently done...I have not had any time to scrap my own pages.

Old pages from 12x12 to 8.5x11 -1

This is by far one of my favorite pages. It was originally made as a 12x12 page/layout, however, 8.5x11 has always been my favorite size, so I decided to redo some of my favorite pages in my favorite size, this layout is the first of the collection.

Miss K was 11 months old, every time I'd say "I love You" she would stick out her tongue and smile and that is why this page is titled "I Love You, her way"

I like the focus to be on the pictures and allow them to say part of the story...the rest is in the journaling, which is nicely tucked behind the top picture. While I love to share my scrapbooks with family and friends, the journaling is for her and that is why most of the time my journaling is hidden. To view this page in its original design, visit my gallery
go to albums then click on the 12x12 tab. Enjoy.

Be Scrappy!

Ladybug Eggs #2

Remember those ladybug eggs? Well, here is a picture of them.
There had to be at least 30+ tiny eggs. Unfortunately, they got eaten by the ever hungry ladybugs...

Awanas Day

Crazy Hair Day at Awanas.
For this fun day Miss K. came up with the idea of having LOTS of ponytails on her head..."Now that's crazy!" she said.
So, after church we went looking for those tiny rubber bands and we found them at the Dollar store.
And here you have the result. She was pleased and I was glad that she was patient enough to sit still, long enough to get these done.

Happy 1st of May!

Wow, May is here! I hope that everyone has a blessed month.

A little update on the ladybugs...the eggs were eaten. I didn't think on letting go of the ladybugs after the eggs were laid and ...well, the bugs did what they do...they eat them. I felt so bad in breaking this sad news to my little one. So, we a male and female and we are waiting to see the next set of tiny orange eggs any moment
now.

My little one has a double ear infection that had kept her up for a couple of nights, now we are taking care of that. She hates the taste of the medicine but likes the tickles she gets after she takes it. Hey, it works.

Today is out to run more errands, and back to working on more cards and a few pages. I'm getting a lot of things in order and might have a few surprises up my sleeve at Ana's Cards...stay tunned.

Ladybug Eggs!

Today, after dropping some mail at the Post Office, my daughter and I were walking back to our car when Ms.K spotted...a ladybug! We love ladybugs, so we stopped to take a peek and found a bush covered with the little bugs. After playing with them for a few minutes, we decided that we wanted to take some to our garden and to do that we needed our bug house. We went home to get it and spent about 10 minutes catching bugs. Somehow, we managed to get a male and a female ladybug, who later in the day became the proud parents to about 20+ ladybug eggs! Oh, it was amazing. I picked up the bug cage to check on the little guys and found a ladybug laying eggs! Needles to say, Ms.K is looking forward to watching these little bugs hatch. After some research, we found the best practices on taking care of our new pet ladybugs and their eggs...We will keep you posted.

The picture above is not of our ladybug eggs -the one I took was not very good, yet I'll still posted later with an update- Enjoy.

New Page Sets

This week... Premade Page Mats to help complete a page in a flash.
Also, known as Page Starter Set or Photo Mats Set. Any way you call them, these sets are ideal for the busy scrapper. With enough mats to complete 1-12x12 page/layout or 2-8.5x11 pages/layouts. I luv'em.
To view more pictures of these sets go to Ana's Cards.

Pre-made Page Sets or Page Starter Set

Have you ever wondered how you could get some of those precious pictures of your last family event scrapped fast? So did I... and that's where these handy pre-made photo mats come in.
The set in the picture for example, has enough pieces to complete one 12x12 page. However, if you scrapbook in a smaller size like me, then you could use the title and a couple of the mats to make one page or two. Either way, these premade sets are a time saver, which can be helpful when you have several pages to make. I personally love'em. A couple of weeks ago, I made several of these page starter sets and only until now had the chance to list a couple to my eBay store In the next days you can stop by and check out the other sets that will soon be listed. I'm in the middle of a custom page order, so listing these other sets will go slowly but surely.

Have a terrific day!

Tween Dora?

What do you think of this? A tween Dora the Explorer? A new Dora with new friends because none of the other characters made the transition. I have read parents having mixed feelings on this new Dora -Who is NOT replacing the Dora we all know- that will be targeted to the next age group - 5 to 10 year olds- a lot of parents do not like the way she is dressed..."too grown up" "too sexy" are among the comments that have been made. Well, in a way it makes sense to have your child's favorite character grow up with them. From a marketing point of view, this is absolutely a genius idea. My daughter loves Dora and has learned a lot from the show. I think she'll like this new grown up Dora and might help her understand how she is too growing up. I understand that they have a line of Dolls and other interactive toys lined up with the big reveal. But, what do you think?

1st Park Visit...

Yesterday was such a beautiful day that after a nice work out, the 3 of us headed over to the park for some fun! This was our first park visit of the Spring. Miss Kelly had a blast, she made new friends and almost refused to leave when it came time to leave...only ONE thing made her change her mind...Sunday is Awana day and she would not miss THAT for the world!

Kelly earned her Cubbies Vest, book and bag yesterday and we could not be more proud of her...She leaned the verses required in only a couple of days after she started attending Awana and had been waiting for this moment for two weeks. We love you Kelly!

It was a great weekend!

New Sewn Cards

Here is a sneak peak at a couple of sewn cards that I made yesterday with some Hello Kitty stickers. These two have already been listed as auctions on eBay and they will not be duplicated. If anybody would like one I could always create something similar. I've had SO much fun creating cards using my new sewing machine that I literally have a pile of cards going...I'll list them as they get completed. Each card has taken a life of it's own with the embellishments, greetings and other special touches that make each card simply unique. I love making cards!

Some of the other cards that I made yesterday will go to my eBay store and others to local shops. It will most likely take me a couple of days to list the other cards, since I have a awesome computer with the speed of a snail -it gets the job done and I'm thankful for that-. Also, I did not forget about my studio spring cleaning and the goodies that I'll be listing to keep my ever-growing stash of scrapbooking/stamoing stuff...With the nasty bug that we've been fighting here at home, it all got postponed and slowly I'm trying to get back in to the groove of things. So, just stay tunned, I'll keep you all posted.

Thank You!
Have a blessed and fantastic day!

Weekend + New Tool

I had a fantastic blessed and happy weekend! Add to this the excitement of a new tool...a sewing machine! It didn't start all that well, since the first one broke and had to take it back to the store. Well, I have not been able to stop using it since I got it out of the box! It has been SO much fun, I don't want to stop...and the new ideas for projects just keep popping in my head! As soon as I can, I will post pictures and a product review.

Gotta run, I hear a sewing maching calling me!

Happy Valentines Day!

Miss K proudly displays one of the Valentines that she put together for her classmates. I used my Cricut to cut the hearts, then she glued all the pieces and taped a heart shaped chocolate to the front, after that Miss K wrote her name on the back of the 20 hearts. I felt so

Kawaii Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty in my ScrapStudio.
The rubber stamp of Hello Kitty has been in my collection since 1980 and it was my very first rubber stamp. That's when my addiction to cute rubber stamps began, then came the stickers, and the stationary and the journals...the rest is history.

Hello Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty Rocks! I've been a fan since I was 7 years old...now I'm 35 and still love that adorable Kitty. It brings back SO many good memories of my childhood. I found comfort and joy in everything Hello Kitty. I still have stationery, pencils, pencil cases, totes and other little HK toys that I've collected through the years and although many have been lost since I've moved so many times, the ones that I are still around are cherished. My daughter has turned out to be another Hello Kitty fan...I wonder why?
Today I found a community just for Hello Kitty lovers...it's called Hello Kitty Junkie So,If you are a Hello Kitty Junky...that's a place to visit. My fantabulous wall paper came form this site and I really, really like it...a lot. It really feels good to know that...Well, I not the only 30 something that is not shy to show her fascination with HK. So, what...age is just a number and mine is unlisted...or was anyway.

Still here...more cards & good sleep

Still here... life gets busy and the day gets shorter and shorter...I have been working on a new batch of cards and a few paper piecings that will be listed shortly.
Today I feel FANTASTIC! This after a well deserved good night sleep. I'm a night owl, the middle of the night is when I create the best... yet, it tends to catch up to you after a while... So last night I did something I should do more often...go to bed early...and I might just start doing things differently to make it happen.
I gotta go, the little one is at school and need to get some things done around the house before it's time to get lunch ready.
For those who asked, yes I will have Valentine's Day cards with Paper Characters. The listings will be for 3 days and some will go to the store, this way it can go in the mail fast and arrive on time. This will be my last week with Valentine Cards. Stop by Ana's Handmade Cards to check 'em out.
For my local clients, you will be able to find these at Mountain Home Collection (110 Miller St. -Downtown Waynesville-)this weekend.

Have a blessed day!

Ipod love

This is her thing and she just loves it. The passion for singing runs in my family. My mom made her living as a singer/model. I did my share of singing while growing up, but never thought to make a living from it. When I was pregnant, my husband got me a special music player that came with a speaker that had a belt that strapped around my waist and held the speaker in place on my belly, so I'd play music to our baby while I rested after a long day at work or while sleeping. I played from Classical to Rock n' Roll. Now, to see her singing her heart out...I love it!

I can tell you that this was an incredible experience and an awesome way to start the year.
